Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will kick-off their pre-season tour of Japan with a clash against reigning J1 League champions Kawasaki Frontale at the Japan National Stadium on Wednesday. The match will start at 4:00 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).
Under the tutelage of new head coach Christophe Galtier, a star-studded PSG outfit defeated Ligue 2 club Quevilly-Rouen 2-0 in the first fixture of their pre-season 2022-23.
Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos converted a penalty for PSG while 18-year-old winger Djeidi Gassama netted the other goal in the 54th minute to start their pre-season with a convincing victory

The Parisians now take on J-League title contenders Kawasaki Frontale in an eye-catching friendly. The Japanese side is currently eight points behind league leaders Yokohoma F. Mariners with two games in hand, but have lost three of their last six J-League games ahead of this clash.
As things stand, there is no official confirmation from PSG over whether the this pre-season friendly will be broadcast on their in-house streaming service, PSG TV.

While Galtier will of course make wholesale changes during the contest, the crowd at the Japan National Stadium can potentially look forward to seeing Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe all feature from the off.
Galtier has affirmed that a back three is a possibility for his side, which would see Kimpembe, Ramos and Marquinhos all start in a formidable defence.
